This is considered one of the biggest security issues known. People not knowing how to set a computer password. This is easy and provides a serious amount of protection. Below are the steps to enable passwords on all the user accounts for your computer.



Set a Password in Windows XP

 

The steps below will show you how to set a password on every user account in Windows XP. You can also use the steps to change a password.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Then click on Control Panel. If you dont see control panel, click setting first, then click control panel.
  3. Next click “User Accounts”,
  4. Next click on your Username.
  5. Now click "change my password". Then enter a password and choose change password at the bottom to make it complete. We recommend you set a password for every user that uses your computer.
