* This is for Windows XP Pro and 2003 only.

DIRECTIONS:

1. First go to your "start" button in the bottom left hand corner of your computer screen.

2. Once your in the start menu you should see an icon that says either "settings" or "control panel" we

are wanting to open the "control panel".

3. In the control panel you want to click on the "administrative tools" icon.

4. In administrative tools you want to click on the "local security policy" icon.

5. Now in the local security policy your window will be split into 2 halves. In the half on the left choose the folder named "Local Policies". (if you dont see the folders, click on the server icon in the left half of the screen, the folders should drop down from the server icon)

6. Now after click on the local policies folder it will drop down folders below it. One is called "User Rights Assignment" this is the one to click on.

7. Now the half of the screen on the right of your local security policy window should be filled up with the information below. This is the easy part. Just compare the settings below to your screen and adjust the settings to match.

In order to adjust the settings double click on any one of the selections on your screen and you should get a pop up window. Then choose from the options below

REMOVE - button will let you delete a setting - first select a setting to remove by highlighting it, you can do this by left clicking once of any of the settings. Then click the "remove" button.

Add User or Group - button will let you add a setting - first click the "add user or group" button, you will get another pop up window and you must select the "advanced" button. Then another pop up window and finally click on the "find now" button. You might have noticed a list of users just dropped down in this window after clicking find now. Just hightlight one of the selections and click "OK" to add that selection. This will take you back one screen and you should have the one you selected list in that screen. You can now click "advanced" and then make another selection from the "find now" button, or just click "OK on all the screens to close out and finish changing that particular setting.

Now like it says in step #7 , Just compare the settings below to your screen and adjust the settings to match.
