How to make - create a new user account in Windows XP Home and Pro

Step 1) Click "start"

Step 2) Click on "settings" or "control panel", we are wanting to open the "control panel"

Step 3) In the control panel click on "user accounts"

Step 4) Click on "create an account"

Step 5) Give the new account a name by typing it into the name field and click "next"

Step 6) This is an important part. This screen is called Pick Account Type, here you want to decide if the user you are creating should be able to do anything they want on your computer or if you should limit what they can do. Read the information below and it may help you make this choice.

-If you choose "Administrator" they can do anything on your computer.

-If you Choose "Limited" they will loose certain privledges like the ability to install programs, create new user accounts, delete and or access your files and so on.

Make you choice and then click "Create Account". Then you can log off of your account and log into the new users account you just made.
