ASG list of known issues with Comodo Firewall
FIRST, if you are having an issue with your computer and you think Comodo Firewall Pro maybe the issue. Uninstall it completely and restart your computer completely. Then test again to see if your issue is resolved. If your issue is not fixed, leave the Comodo Firewall uninstalled until you fix the issue. (Be sure to reinstall Comodo after fixing your problem)
1) If you are unable to connect to the internet and have the comodo firewall installed. You will want to try uninstalling the Comodo Firewall, then restarting your computer completely to rule out the firewall as being an issue. (be sure to reinstall the Comodo Firewall when your online is working again) 2) If you are unable to connect to a network share, unable to share files or unable to use internet connection sharing(ICS). Check the 2 configurations below to see if one will help you setup the comodo firewall. If the configurations below fail, you will want to try uninstalling the Comodo Firewall and restart your computer completely to rule out the firewall as being an issue. (be sure to reinstall the Comodo Firewall when your sharing functions are working correctly) How to run Comodo on your server with ICS Enabled - In order to do this you need to allow svchost and the system processes to access to the network zone. Then you need to allow the internet zone to access the network zone. Then you need to allow the network zone to access the internet zone. NOTE: You will want to run a personal firewall on your network computers in order to have protection. How to run Comodo on your network in order to share files and folders - In order to do this you need to allow svchost and the system processes to access to the network zone. 3) If you are having trouble logging into a website and or with a proxy connection. You will want to try disabling the Comodo Firewall. Then trying logging in again or reconnecting. If the issue persists you will want to try uninstalling the Comodo Firewall, then restarting your computer completely to rule out the firewall as being an issue. (be sure to reinstall the Comodo Firewall when your able to login again or use your proxy configurations) 4) If you are having trouble using your VPN correctly. Problems accessing files folders or sharing. You will want to try uninstalling the Comodo Firewall, then restarting your computer completely to rule out the firewall as being an issue. (be sure to reinstall the Comodo Firewall once your VPN is fully working again) 5) If you are Unable to Update the Comodo Firewall. Your Prompted to Update, you click OK and nothing happens. Then you click Cancel and that works but still no update. This is a known issue that follows after installing ASG High Security and or using other security programs that have Execution Prevention\Protection. (WORK AROUND EXSISTS) - in order to work around this issue. We need to make a shortcut on your desktop from the Comodo Updater. To do this - Open "My Computer" by double clicking on your My Computer icon. Then double click on "local disk C:/" - then double click on your "program files" folder, then double click on your "Comodo" Folder inside of Program Files. Then double click on the folder called "Firewall". Now find the file called "cfpupdat.exe" or it may say just "cfpupdat". Now we want to right click on the cfpupdat file and choose "send to" then from the list choose "desktop create shortcut". Now you should have a Shortcut on your desktop and you can update the Comodo Firewall from here. No more being prompted for yes or no.
