How can I enable the User Account Control - UAC - Windows Vista

How can I turn on the User Account Control - UAC - Windows Vista



  1. Click on your start button, or windows vista logo button in your buttom left hand corner.
  2. Click on Control Panel.
  3. Under the User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account" button.
  4. Click on one of the user accounts, most likely yours if you want to disable User Access Control on your account.
  5. Once you select a user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
  6. Now under the "Make changes to your user account" area click on the "Change security settings" link.
  7. Now in the "Turn on User Account Control to make your computer more secure" put a check in the check box to enable it. Then click on the Ok button to apply the changes.
  8. When your prompted to reboot your computer. Go ahead and reboot.
