How can I enable the User Account Control - UAC - Windows Vista How can I turn on the User Account Control - UAC - Windows Vista
- Click on your start button, or windows vista logo button in your buttom left hand corner.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Under the User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account" button.
- Click on one of the user accounts, most likely yours if you want to disable User Access Control on your account.
- Once you select a user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
- Now under the "Make changes to your user account" area click on the "Change security settings" link.
- Now in the "Turn on User Account Control to make your computer more secure" put a check in the check box to enable it. Then click on the Ok button to apply the changes.
- When your prompted to reboot your computer. Go ahead and reboot.
